Fairy Realm
Dragonoid
Renowned as the paragons of infinite potential, Dragonoids are distinguished by their extraordinary ability to perceive and interpret futures yet to unfold, earning them the title of seers among their kin. Their existence is further elevated by a sacred blessing bestowed directly by the Goddess of the Skies and Victory, marking them as uniquely favoured within the Fairy Realm. This divine connection not only enhances their natural capabilities but also imbues them with a sense of purpose and destiny, setting them apart as pivotal figures in the unfolding tapestry of their world.
Unlike most other races within the Fairy Realm—with the notable exception of Fairies—the Wyverns possess an exclusive lineage known as the Dragonoids. This sub-race is not found elsewhere and remains a privilege unique to Wyvern heritage. In terms of physical prowess and magical aptitude, Dragonoids are equally matched with their Wyvern counterparts, sharing the formidable strength and elemental affinities characteristic of their draconic ancestry. However, what truly distinguishes Dragonoids is their distinctive human-like appearance. While they maintain the formidable traits of their lineage, such as immense resilience and mastery over elemental forces, their outward form is far more reminiscent of humans. The only visible markers of their draconic heritage are their elegant horns, a sleek and expressive tail, and the powerful wings that unfurl only when they choose to take flight. These features act as both a physical link to their ancestry and a symbol of their unique status within Wyvern society.
Characteristics
In terms of personality, Dragonoids mirror many of the defining qualities of their Wyvern forebears. They are recognised for their noble disposition, deep-seated wisdom, and a profound sense of pride inherited from their ancient bloodline. The primary difference lies in their outlook and approach to life; Dragonoids tend to exhibit a more grounded and pragmatic perspective, shaped by their human-like experiences and interactions. This grounding manifests in a philosophy that emphasises balance, thoughtful reflection, and a distinctly sage-like attitude towards morality and strength. For Dragonoids, power is viewed as a means of protection and stewardship rather than domination or destruction. Their ethical code is built on the principle that true strength is demonstrated in one's ability to safeguard others and foster growth, rather than in acts of aggression or conquest.
Socially and structurally, Dragonoids are fully integrated within Wyvern society, sharing the same hierarchy and classification system that values age and accumulated wisdom over brute force or magical achievement. Their ranks progress in harmony with those of traditional Wyverns—from Younger Seer to Greater Dragon Lord—reflecting their shared roots and common journey towards enlightenment. This alignment not only reinforces their connection to the Wyvern bloodline but also ensures that Dragonoids are respected and recognised for their contributions and potential within the broader community.
