Fairy Realm
Elemental
Through the centuries, countless myths and stories have woven their way through the lands, many of which speak of enigmatic beings intrinsically linked to the primordial forces of nature. These tales recount the existence of creatures known as elementals—mysterious entities who do not merely command the elements, but are in fact living conduits and masters of their respective domains. Rarely do mortals lay eyes upon such beings, and even more elusive are their voices; their presence is but a whisper on the wind, a flicker in the flame, or a ripple upon the water, leading many to dismiss their existence as nothing more than legend or superstition.
By their very nature, elementals are creatures of solitude. Their existence is so inherently isolated and removed from the affairs of mortals that their appearances are often shrouded in secrecy and disbelief. The few who claim to have encountered an elemental are typically met with scepticism, further perpetuating the notion that these spirits are merely figments of imagination, woven into the fabric of folklore and myth rather than actual beings who walk the realm.
Characteristics
Elementals are, at their core, concentrated spirits of the raw elements, granted tangible form by the very essence they embody. Their physical appearance shifts dramatically depending on their elemental affinity—be it fire, ice, earth, wind, water, or nature—each manifestation reflecting the unique qualities and temperament of the element it represents. For example, a fire elemental may appear as a blazing figure wreathed in ever-shifting flames, while an earth elemental might resemble a living statue of stone and soil, rooted to the land.
As embodiments of the elements themselves, elementals possess inherent affinities that shape not only their appearance, but also their abilities and outlook. These affinities—Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind, Water, and Nature—grant them command over their respective domains. Despite being spirits given form, elementals are not bound by the mortal constraints of age; in essence, they are ageless and immune to the passage of time, rendering them effectively immortal. Nevertheless, immortality does not equate to invulnerability. Though they do not succumb to old age, elementals can be destroyed through force or the disruption of their elemental essence, making their continued existence both wondrous and precarious.
